Hello once again, faithful game followers. It’s the most wonderful time of the year—NO! not that yet: just the beginning of the fall game launch season. After enduring months of speculation, waiting and hoping, the first of the new season are at the starting block and ready to be unleashed to the masses. OK, take a deep breath, make sure your wish list is handy and dive in.

First out of the gate: “Brütal Legend.” Stripes GAMER contributor Evan Shamoon gets down and dirty in his analysis of the latest from the team at Double Fine – it is “a game about rock-and-freaking-roll.” No instruments required because Brütal is no sim. It’s a classic story: roadie meets rocker, rocker meets untimely accident, roadie gets transported to alternate world and becomes only hope for saving the human race against demonic overlords… Whew. Step inside, step inside….
